We're is seeking a proven pro to bring life to a newly created Chief Strategy Officer ("CSO") position. S/he will report to the CEO of a rapidly growing professional services company that serves multiple agencies within the federal government. Your responsibilities will include:
· Long and near-term corporate BD strategies and initiatives
· Overseeing business development, proposal development and marketing
· Supporting M&A activities
· Mentoring of subsidiary Presidents and Operations executives and BD on capture initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate (specific capabilities highlights)
- 15+ years of experience in business development for federal facilities operations/maintenance, logistics, training, and related services business lines
- Experience in Department of Defense (DoD) business development is a MUST, and experience with other federal civilian agencies (NASA, DOE, NGA) is strongly desired; experience in commercial markets considered a plus
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal government proposal development including strategies for bidding/pricing
- Experience leading a Business Development group in a medium to large organization (mega-programs and joint ventures a “+”)
- Familiarity and success in an matrix organization
- Bachelors Degree in an Engineering or related technical discipline a preference; Advanced degree preferred (MBA or Tech Masters)
- Ability to attain a top secret clearance
